But he stayed silent, giving Mike the time he needed to work through it. He wanted his new pet to know how to behave when it really came down to it. And that required patience.
So when Mike finally caught on, the smile returned, slowly creeping across Billy's face. He let out a low, deep chuckle. "You're finally catching on! Yes, that's exactly what I expect."
